Why potency, not just concentration
Milligrams measure mass; International Units measure biological effect, and the ratio between the two — potency, in IU per mg — is specific to the compound and sometimes to the manufacturer or batch. That's why this tool asks for it rather than assuming one: a wrong assumption here would silently misconvert every dose that touches IU.
